VIEWS OF THE

COENOSIUM ROCK GARDEN

SPRING, 2005

POND AREA

The area around the pond has become a focal point of the garden. It takes on the appearance of an alpine pond and definitely adds to the ambiance of the whole garden

STREAM FEATURE

The stream circulates water from the pond. It is not difficult to imagine a melting glacier providing the water for a spring that feeds the pond.

The entrance to the gardens is behind the large rock at the left center of this picture. A flat slab serves as a bridge over the stream.

This view from the bridge over the stream shows the garden from another perspective.

SOUTH BORDER

The south border separates our garden from the rose garden. It extends from the pond toward the west border that parallels the main street.

WEST BORDER

The west border has matured into an impressive screen for the garden from the street.

THE CENTRAL GARDEN

The central garden has the major plantings and the scree garden. It is maturing nicely.
