Picea pungens 'The Blues'
This cultivar was found as a selection from Picea pungens ‘Glauca Pendula’ by Larry Stanley. It is more strongly pendulous than any of the other forms presently in the trade. It grows up to 1' (30 cm) per year. The terminal shoot grows upward at an angle with just a little encouragement as a young plant. It is bright blue and makes a great accent to any garden.
The plant pictured here is growing at Coenosium Gardens in Eatonville.
